Fall Ball at El Rio Fastpitch is designed to provide players with additional opportunities to develop their softball skills, build confidence, gain game experience, and prepare for the upcoming Spring season.

Our focus is on player development, sportsmanship, teamwork, and fostering a lifelong love of the game. While competition is part of the experience, the primary goal of Fall Ball is to help players continue growing as athletes while having fun with their teammates.

Fall Ball welcomes players and coaches from all leagues and organizations. Whether El Rio is your home league or you're joining us for additional development opportunities, we're excited to have you be part of the experience.

Team Formation Philosophy

To provide a positive and competitive experience for all participants, El Rio Fastpitch will work to create teams that are as balanced as possible.

Managers may enter the season with a roster of up to six (6) players. Additional players will be assigned through individual player registrations and a league draft process.

To promote competitive balance and player development, managers bringing players may not bring multiple players who primarily play the same key position. For example:

  • No more than one primary pitcher

  • No more than one primary catcher

  • No more than one primary shortstop

  • Similar considerations may apply to other positions at the league's discretion

The Board of Directors reserves the right to review and approve all submitted rosters and make adjustments as necessary to ensure fairness and maintain the developmental goals of the Fall Ball season.

Our objective is simple: create balanced teams where players can improve their skills, gain experience, build friendships, and continue to enjoy the game of softball.

Manager Interest

Interested in Managing a Team?

We are always looking for positive leaders who are committed to player development and creating a fun, encouraging environment for our athletes.

Managers should understand that Fall Ball focuses heavily on instruction, skill development, sportsmanship, and helping players prepare for the Spring season.

You do not need to be a current El Rio Fastpitch coach or family to be considered for a manager position. We welcome interest from coaches and families throughout the softball community.

Whether:

  • Your player currently plays at El Rio Fastpitch

  • You plan to play with El Rio in the Spring

  • Your player plays at another league and will return to their home league in the Spring

  • You simply want to help develop young athletes and contribute to the game

...all interested candidates will be considered.

Our goal is to provide a quality Fall Ball experience focused on player development, and we welcome coaches who share that vision.

Please note that submission of a manager interest form does not guarantee selection. The Board of Directors will review all interested candidates and make selections based on the best interests of the league, players, and overall Fall Ball experience.
